Seattle's problem isn't heat, it's moisture and darkness. Nine months of the year the house is managing humidity, and the shortest days end before the workday does.

The result is a quieter set of automations than Signal Hill. Less about peaks and load shifting, more about steady conditions and catching small failures — a damp crawlspace, a dropped access point — before they become expensive ones.
